About Me

About Dr Felicia Tshite

I am Fellowship trained from Starship Children’s Hospital, in Auckland, New Zealand.

Fellowship allows one to sub-specialise in their field of interest, to have an enormous exposure in that field, create lifelong international connections and have access to global mentors.

Out of 3 in South Africa , I am the first black and the first black female to acquire this clinical fellowship certificate in Paediatric ENT surgery. Using numbers and race is not an achievement, but it is also very important to highlight because it maps the journey and the work needed ahead. We need more of us, and our children deserve the focused Aero-digestive rare skill.

I am grateful and humbled for the opportunities I have been granted in my career thus far, every one of them got me to this moment. The road to knowledge never ends, therefore I hope to learn and grow in this field.  With your support, I also hope to make a difference to the paediatric population and to academia.

In both my private & government work commitments , I will exclusively focus on neonatal and paediatric patients, particularly complex airway and aero-digestive issues.
